This indenture made between Vitus Polonius, Baron and Knight , on one part, and Lady Katherine of Great Chesterford, on the other part, testifies that the said Lady Katherine shall stand in service to the said Baron for peace and for war for a term of one year and one day following the date of this document.

The lady Katherine having the estate of esquire and being retained with the said baron for the said term for peace and for war, by indenture, without fraud or evil device, shall be accorded all customary rights and privilieges, Vis of Livery, maintainance, counsel, instruction, advancement and defence against unjust harm.

The Lady Katherine shall in turn accord the said baron with service upon the field at the War of Estrella, the Great tourney at Raglan Fair, and such other Wars and tourneys as they shall be mutually conveniently present thereat. Should the said baron require the service of the said Lady at other wars or tournies, he may call her or a proxy of her choosing there present at his own expense.

The Lady Katherine shall also afford the Baron Vitus support in matters touching court, law, and the management of his estate and household, as are within her normal competence. She is bound not to be a maintainor, instigator, barrator, procuror, or embraceor of quarrels and inquests in the country, in any manner, and shall not know or understand of any manner thing to be attempted, done or spoken against Baron Vitus’ person or honour, but she shall let and withstand the same to the uttermost of her power,

these being witnesses, Eleanora Queen of Drachenwald, Eirik and Filippa Princeps Nordmark, Duke Sven Gunnarson, Seneschal of the Realm,  Matthewe Baker, Schwartzdrachen, Their excellencies of Styringheim and of Arnimetsa, Baroness Giuliette, Duke Matthew Blackleaf, Viscount Hohenklingen, Jarl MacKay, Countess Urwald, Countess Jaeger, Landgraf Rogge, Duchess Farryngdon, Baroness Walsingham, George fitzHume, Knight, Lord Edricus Filius Offaeus, and many others.
